With the aim to foster growth and integrate Indian Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to global networks, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is organising its 15th Global SME Business Summit on 19 and 20 December, 2018, at Hotel Hyatt in New Delhi. This time, the theme of the event is ‘Building Partnerships through Global Value Chains.’
The summit will bring together speakers with experience and expertise in the sector, as well as international delegates and SME stakeholders from across the globe. According to CII, attendees will include representatives from various government organisations, commercial attaches and global trade promotion officers, ambassadors and other senior embassy officials from participating countries, purchase/procurement/offset officers of global OEMs, SME entrepreneurs, partners, directors, CEOs, and other business leaders.
The organisers maintain the summit will be a crucial platform for disseminating knowledge on assessing the export potential of the products and services of Indian SMEs, identifying suitable markets, developing strategies to penetrate new markets through trade associations, multi-lateral agencies, international business forums and ecommerce.
The event will comprise plenary sessions on topics such as ‘MSMEs’ Role in a 5 Trillion Dollar Economy’, ‘Envisioning Growth Trajectory for SMEs,’ ‘Digital Entrepreneurship,’ and more. It will also feature workshops on international trade, international trade through ecommerce, and domestic trade hubs.
Previous editions of the event have seen more than 100 global speakers, 15 countries and 500 delegates participate alongside Central and State Governments.
