Sattviko, a fast-growing Indian food brand, organised The Food & Food Services Summit 2018 along with TiE Delhi-NCR, a chapter of TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs) on September 14. The event also saw TiE Delhi-NCR partner with the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) to launch the Food Innovators Network (FINE).
The event was organised to encourage and prepare Indian food and beverage brands and startups to take their brands global. Many industry experts and entrepreneurs attended the event and were part of discussions, which also saw foodpreneurs, restaurateurs, industry leaders, investors and startups involved. Together, they discussed the food industry’s growth and the domestic and global opportunities available to them.
Speaking at the event, Madhavi Das, CMSO, FSSAI, said, “It is exciting to see a number of startups coming up in the sector. We are proud to have launched the Food Innovators Network at the event today, and to partner TiE Delhi-NCR in bringing together innovators and entrepreneurs to provide innovative solutions and transform the country’s food safety and nutrition landscape.”
Discussion on technologies, funding and learnings in the food and beverage sector was part of the summit. It also included a session on ‘Building Great Brands in F&B - Made in India’, presided over by the leadership from Sattviko, ITC Limited, Nutty Gritties, RAW Pressery, Pepsi and more. Key investors from Fireside Ventures, Presetllar Ventures and GHV Accelerator were also part of the event.
